I have had several failed experiments with blogging. I think its the ambiguous nature of a blog that does me in. Its a quasi personal account that is nevertheless available for public viewing. Not that I have an issue with what to reveal and what to leave out. Its the tone of the blog that I cant get right. How do I address my readers in the second person when I am not even sure that there are any readers. And exactly how does one acquire that elusive readership? I have read several advises on this topic on the internet but am still pretty much in the dark.
So I am chucking all those efforts and am starting anew. This one is for myself. Not that I don't want people stumbling in. I very much do. Hello to all you stumblers, thank you for coming! But the primary readership this time is me. If I get lots of stumblers and the stumblers in time become regular visitors, I'll probably go for a change of tone.
Putting words on paper(or a word editor) is a very powerful process. Everyday millions of words float through our heads. Only some of them get put into a more permanent medium. Who then can doubt the power of those words or those mediums. I have found a medium, the words shall follow. Bon voyage, me!
